CIRA is proud to host Welcome Fest as part of national Welcoming Week 2026, which brings together neighbors of all backgrounds to celebrate and affirm the importance of welcoming everyone in our communities. This is a free admission event; food and goods available for purchase.
There is free parking at the Center Mall, limited accessible parking available via the Center Street CIRA entrance.
What to Expect at Welcome Fest
Come hungry, bring the whole family, and get ready to explore. Welcome Fest brings together food, live performances, and community experiences celebrating the cultures and people who make Omaha home.

Live Performances
The Welcome Fest stage will be filled with music, dance, and cultural performances throughout the afternoon.
ÈDÈM SOUL
Omaha-based vocalist, performer, and multi-instrumentalist ÈDÈM SOUL brings together music, storytelling, African drumming, and singing, often incorporating Ga, a language originating from Ghana, West Africa.
Asian Community & Cultural Center Lion Dance and Martial Arts
See traditional lion dance and Chinese kung fu from this Lincoln-based community cultural arts group.
African Immigrant Family Services African Drumming Group
Hear traditional West African rhythms, drumming, dance, and cultural storytelling from this vibrant Omaha youth and community ensemble.
Los Avioneros
This Omaha-based norteño group brings high-energy regional Mexican music to the stage with accordion, requinto, bass, and drums with a mix of classic and modern corridos.
